Job Overview: Student Support and Pastoral Coordinator
The Student Support and Pastoral Coordinator will be an integral member of the pastoral team, dedicated to enhancing student welfare. You will partner with the Assistant Headteacher to effectively monitor and assess student wellbeing and academic progress. Your responsibilities will include ensuring student safety, implementing targeted interventions, and facilitating the smooth transition of new or returning students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a minimum of GCSE qualifications, including at least a Grade C in both English and Maths
- Engage in ongoing and relevant professional development within the educational setting
- Possess up to 3 years of experience in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) environment
- Exhibit strong listening abilities
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understand the various barriers to learning that students may encounter
