Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pastoral Support Officer to join our team at Outwood Academy City Fields. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving attendance and supporting the well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out home visits to identify the reasons for poor attendance and work with students and their families to develop strategies to improve attendance.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to identify and address any underlying issues that may be contributing to poor attendance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure that they feel supported and valued.
  • Provide guidance and support to students who are struggling with attendance or behavior issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance and behavior policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
