About the Role

The Pastoral Manager will work closely with the pastoral team to provide support for students, ensuring their wellbeing and progress are effectively tracked and monitored. This role will safeguard students and implement appropriate interventions to address individual needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with pupils to identify strategies to overcome barriers to learning
  • Monitoring the behaviour and progress of pupils on targeted interventions
  • Coordinating the development of individual support plans and reviewing ongoing progress
  • Managing the transition of new pupils and providing necessary support to overcome barriers to learning

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade C in English and Maths
  • Continuing and relevant professional development in school
  • Up to 3 years in working in SEND settings
  • Good listening skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the barriers to learning that pupils may face
