About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inclusion Officer to join our team at Outwood Academy City Fields. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the SENDCO to identify and address the needs of our students, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to thrive.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote equality and inclusion within the school community, fostering a culture of respect and mutual support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide targeted support to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups of students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to inclusion and SEND.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing their social, emotional, and academic needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of promoting inclusion and supporting students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the school.
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
