About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of living with endocrine, diabetes, and DSD conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people to help them better manage psychological distress and obtain better treatment outcomes.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary Children's Endocrinology, Diabetes, and DSD Teams to provide consultation, direct work, and attend multidisciplinary clinics.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address the psychological needs of children and young people with endocrine, diabetes, and DSD conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide clinical supervision to other staff members as required.
Requirements
  • Completed (or due to complete in 2024) postgraduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration in 2024).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with medical/chronic health conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
