Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of growing up and living with haemophilia or other inherited or acquired bleeding disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the haemophilia team to offer psychological care to those with haemophilia or other inherited or acquired bleeding disorders.
- Provide consultation to staff, work directly with patients and families, and attend haemophilia clinics.
- Develop the psychology service within the speciality, as the service has not had any recent dedicated clinical psychology support.
- Be part of a welcoming and growing Clinical Psychology Department which incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology and Child and Adult Neuropsychology.

Requirements- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist.
- Training in 2 or more distinct psychological therapies.
- Experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment with people with medical and physical health conditions.
- Experience of working with a wide range of client groups and presentations.
- Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience of providing supervision and consultation to other clinical staff including psychologists.
- Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision.
- Experience of conducting risk assessments.
- Experience of working in acute hospital with patients with medical/chronic health conditions.
- Experience of assessing and treating patients with haematological disorders, specifically haemophilia or other inherited/acquired bleeding disorders.
- Experience of developing and implementing group based interventions.
- Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
- Experience of providing supervision to other clinical staff.
- Experience of conducting evaluation projects and clinical research within health settings.
