Long-term Teachers Ltd is collaborating with a reputable multi-academy trust seeking a motivated Advanced Teaching Support Specialist to become part of their committed and enthusiastic team. In this role, you will engage with students for up to 35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, during the academic term.

The selected candidate will work with Key Stage 4 students, providing essential support in various subjects, including English, Mathematics, and Functional Skills, while also covering planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) for teachers.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing classroom activities
  • Facilitating engaging learning experiences
  • Conducting one-on-one and small group interventions
  • Assisting students of varying abilities, including those with SEN
  • Documenting student progress and collaborating with senior leadership

About You:

  • Proven experience working with children, particularly at the secondary level
  • Understanding of special education methodologies and techniques
  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and insight when supporting diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational capabilities to aid in lesson planning and classroom oversight
