Role Overview:

We are in search of seasoned Analytics Specialists to enhance our team, driven by our ongoing growth and achievements within the UK Government sector.

Our projects encompass the entire Data Science lifecycle, from conducting research and developing proof of concept models to constructing and implementing operational solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing Data Science and analytical methodologies, including Data Aggregation, Management Information reporting (MI), statistical analytics, and advanced techniques such as machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of colleagues (including Data Specialists, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams) to comprehend client challenges and derive meaningful insights from their data.
  • Overseeing one or more technical work areas, which includes planning, risk identification, and providing regular updates to project management.
  • Leveraging your expertise in Data Science technologies to assess potential solutions and integrate capabilities to deliver innovative and effective outcomes for our clients.
  • As part of our Consulting team, you may present and demonstrate solutions to clients at various seniority levels, tailoring your communication to effectively convey analytical techniques and their applications.

Desired Background:

  • Experience in Data Science, Analysis, or Engineering, with a robust understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning principles, along with practical application in previous roles.
  • Proficiency in Data Science tools and technologies, including at least one analytical scripting language (e.g., Python, R, SAS). We value demonstrable skills and adaptability over a specific technology list.
  • A solid grasp of Open Source software for Data Science, capable of evaluating these platforms against commercial products. You should be able to analyze and recommend solutions based on client needs.
  • A thorough understanding of database concepts (including unstructured, NoSQL, and Big Data platforms) with experience in object and data modeling techniques.
  • Prior experience in Cyber Security and Intelligence domains is advantageous but not mandatory.

Travel Requirements:

As a Data Scientist, you may need to work at client sites that are not your base location for extended periods. All travel and expense costs will be covered, although this may not apply to all Consulting projects.

Security Clearance:

Only candidates with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered. Successful candidates will be required to undergo Government SC clearance prior to employment.
