Reinsurance Broker Role Overview

At Aon, we are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Broker to join our team in London. This role will work closely with our London-based EMEA Facultative Financial and Professional Lines team to execute reinsurance transactions and proactively manage client and market-specific placement and projects throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Negotiate terms and conditions of placement with the market
* Ensure timely slip production, reviewing material before taking to market
* Manage client expectations by communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes to clients in advance of placement milestones
* Source and develop new revenue opportunities in conjunction with Client Directors, Senior Brokers, and client teams
* Work on and provide support in developing and delivering market presentations and broking strategies
* Identify appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients' market security guidelines and other requirements, exerting influence on the market to secure the best outcomes for clients
* Provide advice to clients and colleagues on placement design, available coverage, and capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements, and market progress

Requirements

* +3 years of relevant (re)insurance broking experience
* Experience gained within the London Market is highly desirable
* Developed negotiation skills
* Language skills are desirable but not essential
* Good communication skills and ability to manage relationships internally and externally
* Ability to consider the underwriter's perspective to adapt approach
* Invests time and resource in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients' needs
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
