Reinsurance Client Service Technician

Your new role will be working as a Reinsurance Client Service Technician for a privately-owned Global Lloyd's Broker with offices based around the UK and Worldwide. This company has seen significant growth, expanding to a headcount of 400 associates globally across 17 locations, and prides itself on an entrepreneurial culture that benefits its clients.

Your new job will involve a multi-disciplined technical processing role incorporating Broker Support, processing of Proportional and Non-Proportional accounts, Excess of Loss and Claims, and premium processing. You will deal with all classes of business, specifically International Property and Casualty, liaising with internal and external clients and carriers on a technical level. You will have an all-encompassing Premium and claims Reinsurance technical role where you will be responsible for Multi-disciplined technical processing, incorporating Premium; Pro rata & Excess of loss claims covering all classes of business as well as participate in client and reinsurer meetings as required.

In the Broker Support role, you will be required to debroke, risk sign down, prepare and maintain account statistics, provide support in overall servicing of client's account and retention of business, and use electronic methods throughout the process. Other duties will include negotiating claims from initial notice through to settlement and closure, covering complex claims covering all classes of business including XOL reinsurance and binders, reinsurer audit and direct, including underwriter rep, and have a high level of understanding to complete adjustments proactively and in the time frames required to avoid client penalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Reinsurance Premium and claims
  • Debroke, risk sign down, and prepare account statistics
  • Negotiate claims from initial notice through to settlement and closure
  • Participate in client and reinsurer meetings
  • Use electronic methods throughout the process

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Reinsurance Technician
  • Competency in processing all risks types, proportional, excess of loss premiums and claims
  • Understanding of management concepts, systems, and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and in-depth knowledge of IMR, CLASS, ECF, LORS, and ideally Salesforce and Open TWINS
