Role Overview

In alignment with our strategic vision, this position is pivotal in ensuring that our transformation initiatives are executed with precision and accountability. You will spearhead the assurance and risk management efforts essential for evaluating and mitigating transformation risks, thereby facilitating the achievement of our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk-based assurance strategy for our transformation projects, collaborating with senior leaders to identify their assurance needs.
  • Oversee the execution of a series of program evaluations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery through effective management of the assurance team.
  • Provide ongoing support and strategic insights to management, participating in critical meetings and engaging with stakeholders to drive successful business transformations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, offering independent assessments and recommendations to enhance decision-making and risk management.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with the Business Transformation team and Change Leaders, ensuring a cohesive approach to assurance across various initiatives.
  • Ensure a standardized assurance methodology is applied across projects, particularly in cross-functional areas such as data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuously enhance the program assurance framework, integrating innovative practices and insights to improve our processes.
  • Lead and develop the Programme Assurance team, ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external assurance partners.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in managing complex transformation initiatives within large organizations, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Proven track record in overseeing assurance or audit portfolios.
  • Expertise in formulating risk-based assurance plans.
  • Experience in facilitating risk management discussions and workshops.
  • Strong ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to articulate the implications of program risks to diverse audiences.
  • Solid analytical and report writing capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of program controls and methodologies, including Agile and hybrid approaches.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic vision.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Prior experience in assurance or audit roles, with a history of adapting to evolving business needs.
