About the Role

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is seeking a Quality Assurance and Accreditation Manager to play a key role in the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Team. This role will provide operational management and business support for the quality assurance systems and accreditation schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the range of accreditations, including the flagship service of centre accreditation, which is internationally recognized as a leading kite mark of excellence.
  • Provide operational management and business support for the quality assurance systems and accreditation schemes.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Team to ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance processes and accreditation schemes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of accreditation schemes.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and the Board of Trustees on the performance of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Team.
Requirements
  • Experience in quality assurance and accreditation, ideally both at an operational and managerial level.
  • A sound understanding of educational quality assurance processes, ideally within the higher education or a membership body.
  • Experience of working to a standards framework.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
