Our UK-based team in London comprises over 30 members, works with many of the world's leading companies and top brands and has extensive experience across all sectors, with a focus on consumer goods; extractives; utilities; manufacturing; and financial services.

We are seeking a Principal Consultant with Assurance experience - (ISAE3000/ ISAE3410/ AA1000), who will lead and expand our sales and delivery of sustainability services. Expertise in one or more areas is essential: supply chain, strategy, sustainable finance, or climate change.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role to win, lead and develop our work on a wide range of sustainability services, primarily focused on sustainability report assurance; ESG and sustainable finance; supply chain sustainability; sustainability strategy and climate change consulting.

You will also have the opportunity to play an important role in the development of others within the team.

Key

Responsibilities:

Service Leadership: Lead the development and execution of sustainability services, specialising in: Sustainability report assurance. Sustainable finance consulting. Digital assurance, including digitally enabled supply chain transparency solutions. Supply chain sustainability and risk management. Climate change. Sustainability and ESG strategy.
You will be expected to lead project teams as well as help to grow our business through the following activities:
Proactively seeking to identify customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and selling these to new and existing clients. Directing projects, ensuring they are executed to clients' expectations, on time, on budget and to DNV quality standards. Leading and communicating effectively with your project teams and clients. Introducing services from your own/existing discipline(s) to new clients and new services to existing clients. Writing thought leadership for the team to be published internally and externally and speaking publicly to generate the correct profile and market engagement in the UK region.

Our UK team is predominantly based at our South Bank (Central London) offices. The UK team sits within the innovative Supply Chain and Product Assurance (SCPA) division of DNV and works closely with sustainability and ESG colleagues across DNV globally.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
A minimum of six years of assurance related experience.A professional auditing qualification would be advantageous. Proven track record in sales and business development of ESG & sustainability services within a consultancy environment.Proven track record of leading & delivering consulting services as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the domain of ESG/sustainability.Academic qualifications relevant to sustainability subject areas.Proven project and/or team leader, delivering service excellence.Able to clearly delegate tasks and provide sufficient guidance, support and feedback on performance to Senior Consultants and Consultants.Able to line manage Senior Consultants and provide coaching and development.Willingness to travel and work around the UK and on occasions overseas.
