About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Acoustic Consultant to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a leading independent multidisciplinary consultancy, we specialize in Planning, Regeneration, and Environmental Consultancy with a thriving acoustic department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Oversee projects of various sizes, ensuring timely delivery and budget management.
  2. Business Development: Develop and secure new business opportunities, negotiating with clients and contractors to expand our acoustic services.
  3. Team Leadership: Manage and develop the technical capabilities of a team, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  4. Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries, establish project requirements, and draft fee proposals.
  5. Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on acoustic consultancy, including statutory nuisance, environmental acoustics, and project delivery.
Requirements
  1. Qualified to degree level in acoustics/noise and vibration.
  2. Significant acoustic consultancy experience at Principal level.
  3. Proven track record in project and people management, business development, and technical leadership.
  4. Extensive understanding of Environmental Acoustics and project delivery.
  5. Previous experience as Project Manager, including budgeting, proposal submission, and report writing.
