We are a leading acoustic consultancy established in 1984, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects in the arts and architectural acoustics sector.

Job Title: Acoustic Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join our team, responsible for managing projects and delivering high-quality services in the agreed timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend and provide advice at client/project/design/workshop/team meetings
  • Carry out noise and vibration surveys/site testing, including environmental surveys, sound insulation testing, vibration surveys, and noise monitoring
  • Liaise with clients, travel to sites to deploy and collect equipment, either with another team member or autonomously
  • Carry out measurements using appropriate British Standards procedures and good practice based on in-house training
  • Data processing, including modeling using Sketchup and CATT-Acoustics/Environmental CADNA-A/Sound insulation Insul
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing small, medium, and large-sized projects
  • Knowledge of survey procedure, sound insulation testing, and vibration monitoring
  • Knowledge of computer modeling (Sketchup/CATT-Acoustics/CADNAA-A/Insul or similar)
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Word/Excel and good data manipulation skills
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and construction industry guidelines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication and report writing skills, and excellent attention to detail
