About the Role and the Organization: This is a remarkable opportunity within the Learning Disabilities Psychology and Behaviour Therapy service at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust for a Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist committed to driving service innovation and leadership.

Part-Time Opportunity: This role is available on a part-time basis and involves co-leading a team alongside a full-time Principal Psychologist, two Senior Psychologists, a Behaviour Therapist, and two Assistant Psychologists. The primary focus will be on enhancing care delivery for adults with learning disabilities through comprehensive assessments, targeted interventions, and therapeutic support.

The position also entails providing training and consultancy to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and associated agencies, contributing to a trauma-informed service that aligns with the Trust's strategic goals.

  • Guide the team towards ongoing service enhancement
  • Deliver training and consultation to the MDT and partner organizations
  • Promote improvement through effective change management practices
  • Ensure efficient management of information
  • Foster relationships to guarantee service user engagement

Key Responsibilities: The Principal Psychologist will ensure the delivery of a high-quality psychological service to adults within the Learning Disability team's operational framework. This encompasses assessments, interventions, and consultations for individuals, families, caregivers, and members of the multidisciplinary team.

The postholder will collaborate with community and inpatient teams across health and voluntary sectors, necessitating specialized skills to provide psychological assessment and treatment to patients.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
