The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Reward and Recognition Specialist to join our People & Culture team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering our compensation programs and ensuring strong governance. You'll work closely with our Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to provide advice and counsel on offer negotiations and talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our compensation programs, ensuring they align with our organisational philosophy and governance guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to our Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers on offer negotiations and talent management.
  • Work with compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation decisions and forecast, report, and analyse compensation outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with senior partners and internal data & analytics teams to provide insights to our people analytics function, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Analyse market data to assess the competitiveness of our total compensation offerings at all levels of the business.
  • Operate in an extremely organised manner, working quickly and balancing multiple tasks while being proactive and anticipating needs.
About You

To succeed as a Reward and Recognition Specialist at DeepMind, you'll need:

  • Experience working with recruitment and people partnering teams, managing complex candidate offers and balancing hiring needs with longer-term compensation implications.
  • Ability to assimilate ambiguous information from various sources to provide meaningful and timely insights, and communicate these findings effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven experience handling sensitive data with confidentiality and care.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, with the ability to manipulate large datasets, perform complex calculations, and conduct in-depth analysis to derive actionable insights.
  • Collaborative approach to stakeholder management, with experience forming project proposals and improving processes.
  • Highly organised, with experience managing your own workload across multiple projects and activities.
  • Agile and flexible, with a willingness to learn from others and adapt to changing priorities.

In addition, experience working in the tech sector and understanding of international compensation regulations and practices would be advantageous.
