About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical Administration Team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient records and data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as booking hospital transport and escalating delays to the Patient Flow Facilitator.
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality administrative support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Numeracy and Literacy
  • NVQ II in Administration or Customer Service or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft Office Applications
  • Previous experience of working in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to communicate basic or sensitive information to colleagues, patients, and relatives
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality administrative support
  • Able to organise, prioritise, and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of the department on a daily basis
  • Ability to suggest changes to own practice
  • Demonstrates personal duty of care in relation to the safe use of equipment and other resources
  • Maintains the quality in own work
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS
  • Knowledge or RTT requirements
