About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Welfare Rights Technical Support Officer (Projects) to join our Welfare Rights Team at Lancashire County Council. This is a temporary project-based role, focusing on improving the incomes of older residents across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on welfare benefits, with a focus on older people.
  • Work closely with the Welfare Rights Team to identify and address the needs of our clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations to provide a holistic response to client needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop personalized plans to maximize client income.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of welfare benefits and their impact on older people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
