The Role: Young Person Support Specialist

As a Young Person Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our residents. You will provide guidance, assistance, and emotional support to help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Empowerment and Guidance: Work closely with young people to understand their needs and aspirations, helping them make informed decisions and take ownership of their lives.
  • Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by adhering to strict safeguarding protocols and promoting a positive and secure living environment.
  • Skill Development: Support young people in developing essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and conflict resolution, preparing them for independent living.
  • Education and Employment Support: Encourage and assist young people in pursuing educational opportunities and finding meaningful employment, fostering their personal and professional growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a dedicated team to provide comprehensive support and ensure the smooth running of the home.

  • Proven experience working with young people in a care or support setting.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
