About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients on our Stroke Pathway.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients, visitors, and relatives to the clinical area, providing assistance, support, and information where required.
  • Communicate effectively with the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team, and other departments to ensure patient care is well-planned and coordinated.
  • Contribute to the handover of patient care within the team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Report and record incidents, accidents, and complaints using the trust's systems, and participate in audit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Ensure the safe keeping of patients' property, promote a professional and welcoming environment, and maintain all storage areas safe and clean.
  • Participate in training and supervision sessions relevant to the clinical area, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education to GCSE level Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate and/or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Ability to work 12.5 hour shift patterns and make own travelling arrangements.
  • Previous experience in a nursing or care assistant role, with clear oral communication and basic computer skills.
  • Polite, courteous, and caring personality, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
