Job Summary

CWP is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Psychologist to lead our Crisis and Home Treatment team. As Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing psychological services to support individuals in crisis, working closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the Crisis and Home Treatment team, ensuring high-quality psychological services are delivered to individuals in crisis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, treatment, and support
  • Develop and implement psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to support individuals in crisis
  • Provide supervision and training to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Contribute to the development of CWP's psychological services, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and evidence-based

Requirements

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice
  • Formal qualification in supervision
  • Well-developed skills for communicating effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues
  • Well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of applied psychology and specialized psychological therapies in working with people with complex difficulties
  • Leadership training and/or awareness of different leadership models and systems thinking
  • Experience of providing consultation, training, support, and supervision/reflective practice to other professionals and non-professionals
