We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Principal Clinical Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality psychological services to patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the inpatient service, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions, using evidence-based approaches to support patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and maintain a systematic, high-quality psychology service, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance and evaluate the psychological care offer.
- Provide training, consultancy, supervision, and support to multi-professional staff, teams, and managers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, locality leadership team(s), and speciality clinical network to enhance and evaluate the psychological care offer provided by a multi-professional workforce.

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will possess a postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, with post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice. They will also have HCPC registration and be formally trained and expert in supervising Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
Desirable criteria include formal qualification in supervision, BPS chartered status, and/or membership of ACPUK. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, with experience of providing consultation, training, support, and supervision/reflective practice to other professionals and non-professionals.
They will also have experience of working in multidisciplinary teams, service development experience, and involvement in local and/or national academic and/or professional body and other professional activities.
