Position Overview

Primary Care Careers is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our supportive and collaborative healthcare team. Our practice is equipped with modern facilities, and we are open to flexible working arrangements, offering a competitive salary for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making independent, professional decisions regarding patient medical issues, whether self-referred or referred by other healthcare professionals.
  • Evaluating the healthcare needs of patients presenting with undiagnosed and complex conditions.
  • Conducting screenings for potential health risks and early indicators of illness.
  • Collaborating with patients to create personalized care plans.
  • Providing health education and guidance to patients.
  • Documenting consultation notes clearly and accurately using provided templates.
  • Gathering data for quality audits and adhering to relevant performance frameworks.
  • Delivering enhanced services in partnership with the clinical team.
  • Performing all general duties and responsibilities typical of a General Practitioner in a primary care setting.

Our team comprises experienced GP partners and salaried GPs, along with advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, and a variety of support staff from our Primary Care Network, including pharmacists and mental health practitioners.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration.
  • Completion of annual appraisal and revalidation as required.
  • Inclusion on the NHSE medical performers list.

Essential Experience

  • Proficiency in using clinical management systems.
  • Strong understanding and experience in managing chronic diseases and preventive health services.
  • Familiarity with practice policies, prescribing guidelines, confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
