Job Description

About the Role

Catch22 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Custody Case Manager to join our Offender Management unit (OMU) at HMP Thameside. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, addressing, and reducing risks of sentenced prisoners, while motivating them to engage positively within the custodial regime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of offenders, providing support and guidance to help them reintegrate into the community.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure effective rehabilitation and reintegration strategies are in place.
  • Proactively identify and address risks, providing interventions to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with offenders, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of offender management plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs of each offender.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the factors that contribute to offending behavior and knowledge of rehabilitation principles.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with offenders, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development and implementation of offender management plans.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
