Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Offender Management Unit (OMU) at Catch22. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering service that has been recognized for its excellence in offender management.

Salary: £35,000

The Offender Management Unit at HMP Thameside is the only one in the country operated by a third sector organization since its inception. Following a recent inspection, our service has been praised for its outstanding quality.

Role Responsibilities

As an Offender Management Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee Case Managers in managing the caseloads of sentenced and remand prisoners.
  • Ensure that the needs of offenders are assessed and addressed within appropriate timeframes, in line with individual requirements and performance targets.
  • Deliver comprehensive offender management services that aim to reduce risks and encourage positive engagement within the custodial environment.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience working with high-risk service users.
  • Experience in line management, supervision, and conducting appraisals.
  • A professional demeanor with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and pressures.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly regarding performance metrics and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to various audiences while maintaining confidentiality.

Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • A relevant qualification in criminal justice.
  • Experience within a custodial setting.

Additional Information

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (on-site)
Hours: 38 per week
