Job Summary:

The Youth Offending Officer will play a pivotal role in managing a caseload of youth justice cases, working innovatively with young people from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will engage with young people, their families, and other professionals to assess, develop, and deliver interventions and activities that support their personal and social skills and participation in society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to youth offending service outcomes by creatively engaging young people who are subject to youth justice orders and those at risk of anti-social behaviour, crime, becoming NEET, and substance misuse.
  • Develop and deliver intervention and activity plans that support young people's personal and social skills development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, their families, and other professionals. A strong understanding of youth justice and the ability to think creatively are essential. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
