Position: Engineer Surveyor - Crane & Lifting Equipment

Location: Reading and Oxford
A prominent organization is seeking a Crane & Lifting Equipment Engineer Surveyor to oversee operations in the Reading and Oxford regions. This role involves a Monday to Friday schedule with flexible hours, requiring site visits to ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer Surveyor will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough inspections and assessments of crane and lifting equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to LOLER & PUWER regulations.
  • Working independently and making informed decisions regarding equipment condition and usage.
  • Performing tasks at height and in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and influencing their decisions.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • An HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Marine, or Automotive Engineering. Candidates with NVQ Level 3 and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining, servicing, and repairing various crane and lifting equipment.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
  • Residence in either Reading or Oxford is preferred.
