Job Title: SEN Tutor, Nottinghamshire

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd in Nottinghamshire. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with children and young people who require support in their educational and social-emotional journey. You will provide flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring, using your expertise to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet the needs of each young person and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the young person's progress
Requirements:
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments
