We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd, working with young people with Special Education Needs (SEND) in Nottinghamshire. As a SEN Tutor, you will provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to support the educational and social-emotional journey of these young individuals.
About the RoleThis is a part-time, flexible role that requires a qualified SEN Tutor with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. You will work with a team of SEN Support Specialists to provide holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to young people with a range of learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Maths, English, or Science sessions to meet the needs of individual young people
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to support the young person's educational and social-emotional journey
- Collaborate with the SEN Support Team to ensure a cohesive and effective support package for each young person
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- Flexible part-time hours to suit your schedule
- Occasional opportunities to take on remote jobs and online teaching assignments
- Extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities, including access to the full Tes CPD suite
- A dedicated SEN Support Team to support your work
