Spencer Clarke Group is currently assisting a local authority in the search for a skilled Child Welfare Support Specialist to become a vital member of the Children's Services Team.

In the role of Child Welfare Support Specialist, you will work closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide essential support, guidance, and care to children and their families. The primary aim is to ensure that children are nurtured and safely cared for within their family environments.

Key Duties:

  • Conducting direct engagement with parents, caregivers, and children through individual and, when appropriate, group sessions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress towards established objectives, offering insights for future initiatives.
  • Sharing relevant information with colleagues to support needs assessment and informed decision-making.
  • Recognizing and escalating any concerns regarding a child's welfare to social workers and management as required.
  • Supporting service users in developing positive and confident interpersonal relationships in various social contexts.
  • Providing transportation and accompaniment for adults, children, and young individuals as necessary.

To excel in this position, candidates should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in working directly with children and families.
  • A valid UK driver's license.
  • Access to a personal vehicle.
