Job Title: Student Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a Student Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students and parents in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education welfare support to students and parents, utilizing a counseling approach to address individual needs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of student progress and interactions.
  • Write comprehensive reports on student assessments and progress.
  • Collaborate with education professionals and multi-agency teams to ensure effective support for students.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office, to manage tasks and reports.
  • Manage time and resources efficiently to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including professionals, students, and parents.
  • Conduct assessments and write reports to a high standard, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative frameworks and safeguarding principles to ensure the well-being of students.
  • Work effectively under pressure, managing competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Recognize potential child safeguarding issues and take appropriate action.
