About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEND Officer to join our team at Outwood Grange Academies Trust. As a key member of our inclusion department, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with SEND, working closely with our SENDCo and teaching staff to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and parents to ensure seamless support for students with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the academy.
  • Work closely with the inclusion department to ensure that all students receive the support they need to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Support the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting mutual respect and acceptance among students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students with SEND, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Looked After Children guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and prioritization skills.
  • Passion for promoting inclusion and diversity, with a commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
