In the role of Child Welfare Support Specialist, you will work closely with parents, caregivers, and a variety of professionals to deliver essential support, guidance, and care to children and their families. The primary aim is to ensure that children are nurtured and safely cared for within their familial environments.
Key Duties:
- Conducting direct engagement with parents, caregivers, and children through both individual and, when appropriate, group activities.
- Monitoring and evaluating progress towards established objectives, providing insights for future planning.
- Sharing relevant information with colleagues to facilitate comprehensive assessments and informed decision-making.
- Recognizing and escalating any concerns regarding a child's welfare to the appropriate social workers and management.
- Supporting service users in developing positive and confident interpersonal relationships in various social contexts.
- Providing transportation and accompaniment for adults, children, and young individuals as necessary.
To excel in this position, candidates should have:
- Demonstrated experience in direct engagement with children and families.
- A valid UK driver's license.
- Access to a personal vehicle.
