We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to join our dynamic team at Thames Water. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of our facilities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conducting scheduled maintenance and addressing urgent repairs on instrumentation and control systems.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including mechanical and electrical technicians, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Installing, upgrading, and commissioning new equipment in compliance with industry standards while troubleshooting and rectifying system faults.
  • Analyzing plant failures and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and maintaining current knowledge of industry practices.
What We Expect From You:
  • Proficiency in PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation technologies.
  • Experience with variable speed drives and motor control methods.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HNC or equivalent in instrumentation, control, and automation.
  • Familiarity with electrical standards and regulations.
  • Physical capability to work in confined spaces and commitment to safety protocols.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
