We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As an ICA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on defective equipment.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to install, modify, and commission new plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in systems and plants, and implement cost-effective improvements to assets and systems.
- Investigate plant failures and implement subsequent repairs.
- Provide specialist technical advice and support to the team.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and communication network systems.
- Experience with variable speed drives (VSDs) and other starting methods for motors/pumps.
- Qualifications in instrumentation, control, and automation, such as HNC or City and Guilds Part 2.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service and work accurately and flexibly within a busy team.
- Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum.
- Base location in Bicester or Witney.
- Provision of a company van.
- 38 hours a week, Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 3:36 pm.
- Annual leave - 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with length of service.
