Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team at Broadbean ATS. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience and are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Store Operations: Assist the Shop Manager in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, ensuring that all areas of the store are tidy and well-presented.
  • Team Management: Support the Shop Manager in managing and motivating the store team, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their roles and responsibilities and are working together to achieve sales targets.
  • Stock Management: Assist with the receipt, storage, and rotation of stock, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded and that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Financial Management: Assist with the management of the store's finances, including cash handling, banking, and reconciliation.
  • Training and Development: Support the Shop Manager in identifying training and development needs within the store team, and assist with the delivery of training programs to ensure that all staff members have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong background in customer service, team management, and stock control.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and suppliers. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Education: GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent.
