POSITION: ASSISTANT STORE LEADER - WARMINSTER | £11.50 per hour

We are looking for a dynamic individual to support and motivate our store team through effective communication, management, and planning.

  • Act as a champion for our customers, utilizing innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the retail experience in our store.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of shop floor operations, both front and back of house, making our store a destination for customers, donors, and volunteers.
  • Oversee efficient stock management and rotation.
  • Maintain organized backstage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Assist in training, motivating, and managing volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to prepare goods for display, provide excellent customer service, and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Encourage volunteer recruitment and maintain a rota to ensure the shop operates during all scheduled hours.
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate financial procedures, banking, and administration as required.
  • Participate in training, development, and appraisal sessions, attending meetings as necessary.

WORKING HOURS

This is a part-time role, with a contract of 15 hours per week, spread over 2 days within a 7-day period. Regular weekend work is essential due to the nature of the position.

ABOUT YOU

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Maths and English
  • A strong team player with the ability to inspire others
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Customer-focused with a positive and energetic attitude

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in retail or charity shop environments
  • Previous management experience
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle
