About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team at Dorothy House Hospice in Warminster. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience and are motivated to return to the shop.
  • Team Management: Support and motivate the store team, providing guidance and training to ensure that they are equipped to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Stock Management: Ensure that stock levels are maintained, and stock is rotated regularly to ensure that the shop looks appealing and attractive to customers.
  • Financial Management: Assist with the management of the shop's finances, including banking, administration, and financial reporting.
  • Volunteer Management: Support the recruitment and management of volunteers, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service and support the shop's operations.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a retail or charity shop environment, with a strong understanding of customer service, team management, and stock management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Education: Good standard of maths and English, with a strong understanding of financial management and administration.
