Job Title: Children's Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Nurse to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and young people aged 0-18 years with a wide range of acute and chronic physical and mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and compassionate patient-centred care, assessing, reassessing, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide effective care and support to patients and their families.
  • Take responsibility for a team and in the absence of more senior colleagues, ensuring the complement and skill mix of staff is appropriate to deliver the service.
  • Make decisions, following discussion with appropriate staff members, regarding clinical interventions required based on analysis and interpretation of clinical facts.
Requirements:
  • Currently hold a nursing degree or are working towards one.
  • Supervisor/assessor training.
  • Ability to work flexibly and be part of a dynamic team.
