Job Role: Children's Support WorkerAs a Children's Support Worker, you'll work closely with children in care, putting their needs and well-being at the forefront of everything you do.
Your day-to-day role will involve supporting them in all aspects of their lives, including educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.
You'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young adults, helping to shape their futures and promote positive outcomes.
Responsibilities- Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
- Assist with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
- Organise and facilitate social activities
- Transportation
- Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
- Offer high levels of supervision and support
- Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
- Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
- Previous experience working within a child and/or young adult setting
- Age 21 or over to meet industry regulations
- Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
- Enhanced DBS (cost of which £45.40, refunded after a set period of work)
- Full UK Driving License (desirable)
