About the Role

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a skilled Health Visitor to join our team in providing high-quality care to babies, children, and their families in our community. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our population, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver a comprehensive service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits to assess the health and wellbeing of children and their families, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each family.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Provide education and support to families on topics such as child development, nutrition, and parenting skills.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the health and wellbeing of our population.

Requirements

  • Registered Health Visitor with a strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Knowledge of local health and social care services, with the ability to navigate complex systems.
  • Fluency in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
