Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Develop and Implement HSE Procedures: Create comprehensive written procedures for health, safety, and environmental processes and activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform comprehensive risk assessments for tasks, equipment, and processes, contributing to the development and implementation of effective risk management programs.
  • Deliver HSE Training: Provide engaging and informative training sessions on health, safety, and environmental topics to employees, contractors, and visitors at all levels.
  • Monitor and Improve HSE Performance: Analyze HSE performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to minimize risks and enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar HSE role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Recognized qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
