Overview:

A prestigious housing developer is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a prominent traditional construction project. This multi-phased development encompasses over 150 units and is located in a thriving area.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful applicant will possess a background in site management, specifically within a production team focused on traditional build projects. We are looking for a motivated individual eager to advance their career within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the second-in-command to the Site Manager.
  • Depending on your expertise, you may oversee either external or internal construction packages.
  • Assist with staff inductions and conduct toolbox talks.
  • Ensure adherence to company timelines while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage programming and scheduling effectively.
  • Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Address any unresolved issues by escalating them to the Site Manager.
  • Coordinate all trades, labor, and subcontractors on site.
  • Facilitate NHBC stage inspections.
  • Oversee snagging and re-snagging processes.
  • Provide clear guidance to the on-site construction team regarding their roles and objectives.
  • Ensure the project is completed according to specifications and timelines.
  • Promote quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
  • Take charge of personal development and contribute to the growth of team members.
  • Ensure all remedial work is finalized before occupancy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in assistant site management on traditional housing projects.
  • Familiarity with housing associations is advantageous.
  • A trade background, particularly in a supervisory role, is beneficial.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and training provided by the employer.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • First Aid certification.
