Overview:

A prominent housing developer is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a prestigious traditional construction project. This multi-phase development involves over 150 units and is located in a thriving area.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful applicant will possess experience as an Assistant Site Manager within a production team, specifically on traditional new build projects. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual eager to advance their career with a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the second-in-command to the Site Manager.
  • Depending on your expertise, manage either External or Internal packages.
  • Assist with staff inductions and conduct toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with company timelines and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in project programming.
  • Oversee subcontractors and trades to ensure alignment with project schedules and objectives.
  • Report unresolved issues to the Site Manager promptly.
  • Coordinate all trades, labor, and subcontractors effectively.
  • Conduct NHBC stage inspections.
  • Manage snagging and re-snagging processes.
  • Provide clear guidance to the on-site construction team regarding their roles and targets.
  • Ensure the project meets specifications and adheres to the build schedule.
  • Promote quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations diligently.
  • Take initiative for personal development and support the growth of team members.
  • Ensure all remedial work is completed before project handover.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Assistant Site Management on traditional housing developments.
  • Familiarity with housing associations is advantageous.
  • A trade background, especially in a supervisory role, is preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and training as provided by the employer.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • First Aid certification.
