Overview:

A prestigious housing developer is seeking to appoint a Deputy Site Manager for a significant traditional construction project. This development encompasses over 150 units and is a multi-phase initiative.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful applicant will possess a background in site management, particularly within a production team focused on similar traditional building projects. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, ambitious, and eager to cultivate a successful career within a progressive organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the second-in-command to the Site Manager.
  • Depending on your expertise, you will oversee either external or internal project components.
  • Assist with staff inductions and conduct toolbox discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with company schedules while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project programming effectively.
  • Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Report unresolved issues to the Site Manager promptly.
  • Coordinate all trades, labor, and subcontractors efficiently.
  • Conduct NHBC stage inspections.
  • Oversee snagging and re-snagging processes.
  • Provide clear guidance to the on-site construction team regarding their roles and targets.
  • Ensure the project is completed according to specifications and timelines.
  • Promote quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations rigorously.
  • Take initiative for personal development and support the growth of team members.
  • Ensure all remedial work is finalized before project handover.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in assistant site management on traditional housing developments.
  • Familiarity with housing associations is advantageous.
  • A trade background combined with supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and training provided by the employer.
  • CSCS certification is required.
  • First Aid certification is beneficial.
