Company Overview:

Randstad is collaborating with a prestigious housing developer known for its exceptional quality in traditional construction projects. We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a significant development project.

Role Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing a multi-phase construction project consisting of over 150 residential units. The ideal applicant will have a background in site management, particularly in traditional build environments, and will be motivated to advance their career within a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing site operations and ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Depending on expertise, focus on either external or internal construction packages.
  • Facilitate site inductions and conduct toolbox talks for the workforce.
  • Collaborate with the team to align with project timelines and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Manage project programming and scheduling effectively.
  • Ensure subcontractors and trades personnel adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Report unresolved issues to the Site Manager promptly.
  • Coordinate the activities of trades, labor, and subcontractors on-site.
  • Conduct NHBC stage inspections and manage snagging processes.
  • Provide clear guidance to the construction team regarding their roles and objectives.
  • Ensure the project is completed according to specifications and within the designated timeframe.
  • Promote quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Take initiative for personal and team development.
  • Ensure all remedial work is finalized before project handover.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Assistant Site Manager in traditional housing projects.
  • Familiarity with housing associations is advantageous.
  • A trade background, especially in a supervisory capacity, is preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and training opportunities.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • First Aid certification.
