Company Overview:

Randstad, a leading name in the housing development sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a prestigious traditional construction project.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing a multi-phase housing development project, comprising over 150 units. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong desire to advance their career within a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the second-in-command to the Site Manager.
  • Depending on your expertise, you will manage either External or Internal construction packages.
  • Assist in conducting inductions and toolbox talks for the team.
  • Ensure adherence to company schedules while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Support project programming and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor subcontractors and trades to ensure compliance with project timelines and objectives.
  • Report unresolved issues to the Site Manager promptly.
  • Coordinate all trades, labor, and subcontractors effectively.
  • Facilitate NHBC stage inspections.
  • Oversee snagging and re-snagging processes.
  • Provide clear guidance to the on-site construction team regarding their roles and targets.
  • Ensure the project meets specifications and timelines.
  • Drive quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Take initiative for personal development and assist in the growth of team members.
  • Ensure all remedial work is completed before project handover.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager on traditional housing projects.
  • Experience working with housing associations is advantageous.
  • A background in trade supervision is preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and training opportunities.
  • Valid CSCS certification.
  • First Aid certification.
