Position Overview:

Teaching Personnel is excited to present a unique opportunity for a committed 1:1 SEMH Support role, specifically designed for a Year 6 student at a well-regarded educational institution. This position allows you to collaborate with a passionate and energetic team, creating a supportive atmosphere where every child can excel.

Your Role:

As a SEMH Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering tailored assistance to students, enabling them to navigate their challenges and achieve their maximum potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing a strong rapport and trust with the student to foster a supportive relationship.
  • Creating and executing personalized support plans in partnership with educators and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
  • Offering guidance and motivation to encourage positive behavior and emotional health.
  • Implementing customized interventions to meet specific SEMH requirements, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Tracking progress and modifying strategies to ensure ongoing development.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children who have SEMH needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capability to adjust support strategies based on individual student needs.

A positive mindset and resilience in challenging circumstances.
