Position Overview:
Teaching Personnel is excited to present a unique opportunity for a committed 1:1 SEMH Support Specialist, focused on providing tailored assistance to a Year 6 student within a supportive educational environment. This role emphasizes collaboration with a passionate team dedicated to fostering a nurturing atmosphere conducive to student growth.
Your Responsibilities:
- Establishing a strong rapport with the student to foster a trusting and supportive relationship.
- Creating and executing personalized support strategies in partnership with educators and SENCO.
- Offering guidance and motivation to encourage positive behavior and emotional health.
- Implementing customized interventions to address specific SEMH requirements, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Tracking student progress and modifying approaches to ensure ongoing development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience working with children facing SEMH challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to tailor support strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Resilience and a positive outlook in challenging circumstances.
